Fashion designer's home in the creative district of Vesterbro in Copenhagen

Today, Istedgade is a quiet street with houses from the early 1900s. It offers Swedish fashion designer Maxjenny Forslund and her boyfriend Lars the artistic inspiration for their creative interior. Her relationship with the neighbourhood started when she was in her 20s studying at the Danish Design School. Istedgade was then a trouble spot but has now become the city's new centre for designer shops and coffee bars where creative people gather.
