Determined to live in the centre of a small Surrey market town motivated Yolande and George Hesse to house hunt in Farnham for their perfect downsize home. ‘Farnham has an art school, a theatre, bank, hospital, gastro pubs, ten restaurants, a farmers market once a month, great food and fashion shops, a small old fashioned department store and you can get around on a bike, ’ says Yolande who is clearly pleased they decided against a country location. The couple were already well acquainted with Farnham as eleven years previously they opened up a design office specialising in concept visuals, which developed into helping clients obtain planning permission and finally designing new extensions.
