Cultivated with Love

Sindy and Mark bought this eighteenth century house in 1998, and Sindy has spent almost as much time cultivating a series of sensational gardens and a meadow over the five acre site as trawling auctions for the period portraits and antique furniture they both love. One significant change they have made to the layout of the house has been the addition of a new kitchen extension with lantern roof which sets up an agreeable enfilade effect through the ground floor, carrying the eye from the kitchen door across all the rooms at the front of the house.
